HERDD Bedding is Natural, dehydrated NZ grown pine bedding that provides your animals soft bedding that is long lasting, low dust and highly absorbent.
HERDD’s 100% natural compressed pine bedding is grown in unique Northland conditions, to give your animals a soft, hygienic bed & you an easy option that reduces your overall waste footprint.
HERDD bedding is made from high density (absorbability) Northland pine, with an extremely low moisture content (~7%) & packaged in compostable, oversized 22kg bags to conveniently provide a hygienic environment for your animals’ comfort.

Highlights

• Long lasting – the unsoiled base bed, with good stable management & ventilation will last a long time (12+ months). We recommend 1 bag per fortnight top up, or as required
• 100% compostable bag – put it in your manure pile or compost bin.
• 1 bag activated with water provides approx. 0.13m3 of bedding. Therefore, 7 bags of HERDD bedding provides 1m3 of bedding
• For an average sized stable (~4x4m), we recommend making a bed base with 7 bags (if you have rubber floors), or 9 bags (if no rubber flooring)
HERDD is also excellent for:
• A floor layer under travelling stock in your trailer, truck or horse float adding grip, padding and ‘toilet paper’ for easy cleaning up at your destination
• Extra bedding in competition yards; take 2-3 bags with you to shows and ensure your animals rests comfortably on a clean and fluffy bed before they enter the show ring.
• The garden! Especially plants that love slightly acidic soils, such as Hydrangea, Azalea, Gardenia, Roses, Camellia, Blueberries & many more
• Any other farm animals that need a comfy, hygienic bed to rest on or travel on.
